Coming in WP Migrate DB Pro 1.4: Find & Replace UI Improvements

#

Find & replace has always been a staple feature in WP Migrate DB Pro. With 1.4 around the corner we decided to revamp the find & replace UI to make it a little more intuitive.

Firstly, we’ve decided to remove the plus and minus icons next to each find and replace row. We received feedback from customers that this was not intuitive and only added additional clutter to the user interface. To add a new find & replace row in 1.4 simply click the “Add Row” button. This will add a new empty find & replace row at the end of list of existing rows.

To delete an existing row, first hover over the desired row. An “X” icon will appear. Clicking this icon will remove the row and shift the others up in its place.

We’ve also added the ability to manually reorder the find & replace rows. To reorder a row, simply click and hold the handle on the left side of a row then drag it to the desired position. The order of the rows will determine the order in which the find & replace string pairs will be executed.

For more information on the find & replace functionality, please see our documentation.
