Theoretically, file sizes of up to 5Gb can be uploaded to Amazon S3, however, your server must be configured correctly. To increase the upload limit of your server to 500Mb, ensure the following configuration is applied:
upload_max_filesize = 500M post_max_size = 500M
You will also need to ensure that PHP has ample memory and doesn’t timeout:
memory_limit = 512M max_execution_time = 600
Nginx servers require additional configuration.
Remember to reboot PHP and Nginx (if applicable) for the changes to take effect.
