How do software updates and support work?

Absolutely. In fact, it’s super easy. Just visit the Licenses tab in My Account (you may need to login), click the “Upgrade” button, choose your new license, confirm payment, and your license will be upgraded instantly.

What are the requirements to run WP Migrate?
- Latest version of WordPress or the one previous
- PHP 5.6+
- MySQL 5.0+
- Apache 2+ or Nginx 1.4+ It will likely work with other web servers that support PHP & MySQL, but we do not officially support those.
- Firefox and Webkit-based browsers like Chrome or Safari. Internet Explorer is not supported.
What counts as an "active site"?
When you use WP Migrate on a production site, it is counted as an active site. After 30 days of not using WP Migrate on that site, it will no longer count as an active site. Multisite production sites count as one activation. Development and staging sites are ignored and do not count toward the site limit. For example, using your license on awesomesite.com will count as one active site, but using it on dev.awesomesite.com, awesomesite.dev, staging.awesomesite.com, etc will not count toward your limit.
What happens if I hit my "active sites" limit?
If, in the last 30 days, you’ve used WP Migrate on as many sites as your license allows and you need to use it on a new site immediately, you can simply upgrade your license instantly from My Account.
Can I deactivate sites?
Customers told us that logging into My Account to deactivate a bunch of sites every couple of months was a pain. We’ve implemented the active sites system to eliminate this. By only counting sites you’ve used in the last 30 days, there’s no need to deactivate sites regularly. In the unlikely event that we incorrectly flag one of your dev/staging sites as a production site that counts toward your limit, simply let us know and we’ll correct that for you.
Can I use the Personal license on multisite?
Yep, go ahead, but you’ll need to upgrade to submit a support request concerning multisite.
Can I share a license among several people?
No, it is against our licensing terms for individuals to use the same license key, whether they are in the same organization or not. Each license key is intended for use by an individual and is linked to their email address. Organizations can purchase a license with multiple seats, allowing each member of their team to have their own license key under a single organization license.

Does it migrate themes, plugins, and core files?
To migrate your theme and plugin files with WP Migrate, you must have the Theme & Plugin Files addon installed. WordPress media files are also not migrated natively unless you have the Media Files addon installed. WP Migrate does not migrate your core WordPress files.
What types of multisite migrations are supported?
We test and currently support migration from one multisite install to another multisite install at the Network Admin level. With the Multisite Tools addon, you can also migrate subsites of a multisite install to a single-site install.
Do you offer a discount for teachers?
If you are a teacher at a school and you agree to use your license only for classroom work, then you qualify for a complimentary license for 1 year. Simply use your school email address to email us:
- A link to a page on your institution’s web site containing your name
- The number of students you would like the license to cover
In a year when your license is about to expire, you can reconfirm your teacher status to extend your license for another year. If you purchased the plugin more than 60 days ago, we can’t apply this discount retroactively.
Will it work on a WordPress.com site?
If you have a WordPress.com Business plan (or higher) you can install third-party plugins on your WordPress.com site, including ours. If you have a free, Personal, or Premium plan, you’re not able to install third-party plugins.
Do you offer a discount to educational institutions for departments, classrooms, labs, or the entire school?

Do you offer a discount for non-profits?
Yes, we offer a 20% discount to non-profit organizations that have tax exempt status. You need to provide proof of your organization’s tax-exempt status with current tax documents from its country of residence. For more information, email us at nom@deliciousbrains.com
Will I still be able to migrate sites after my license expires?
Yep. You can use export, push, and pull after your license expires. For push and pull, you will need to enter your expired license key to unlock those features. Export doesn’t require a license key at all.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB.
Will you automatically charge my credit card account after 1 year?
Yes, your purchase is a subscription. You can cancel your subscription and add/remove payment methods at any time from My Account. We’ll send you an email 14 days before we charge your account as a reminder.
Do you have a support forum?
Nope. We currently offer support via email only.
Does it migrate media files?
Yep, we have an addon for that. It is included with every license Developer and higher.
Can it merge the changes of two databases?
Not yet. WP Migrate currently does not have the capacity to merge two databases together. We simply drop the old tables and import the new ones.
Why wouldn't I just use WordPress' built-in XML export/import?

Will it work to migrate Drupal, Joomla, or Expression Engine sites?
No, WP Migrate only works with WordPress.
Will you migrate my site for me?
Sorry, but we do not offer site migration services at the moment.
Do you offer a discount for students?
If you are a student at school and you agree to use your license only for classroom work, then you qualify for a complimentary license for 1 year.
